Robert:

We had an ASUG webcast yesterday on Analysis Office.  I am still typing my notes.

From SAP:

"

The EPM plug-in and the AO plug-in are part of the so-called convergence client Analysis for Office 2.1 and greater. The EPM plug-in will remain the Office client for the BPC standard model. SAP will continuously improve it for this usage type. The AO plug-in is the recommended go-to client for the embedded model. SAP will continuously enhance its functionality to cover the EPM plug-in use cases as well as possible (see the latest roadmap for details). (go to service.sap.com/roadmap)

The EPM plug-in will continue working on the embedded model, however there won’t be functional enhancements (see note on the slide) for the list of known limitations). Due to these limitations customers should use the EPM add-in on the embedded model only in exceptional cases, in particular new projects should use the AO plug-in from the beginning."

I recommend checking the latest roadmap at service.sap.com/roadmap
