Good day to all. May I ask for your advise concerning this plan?
My current portal is NW7.0 running on W2003 and SQL 2005.
My target is to upgrade it to NW 7.5 on W2012R2 and SQL 2012
I do not want to do an inplace upgrade. So I want to do a system copy (client export and import).
My plan is
1. Generate export files from current portal
2. In the new W2012R2, use SWPM, lifecycle mgt to do a system copy. Install SCS.
3. Install DB. May I ask if I can import directly to an SQL 2008 or an SQL 20012? Or should I first install SQL2005 and then do the import,
4. finish the SAP system copy/installation
5. Upgrade the DB to 2008 or 2012?
