If your existing model has been created in Cube Builder then you will not be able to use BICA to load from BW. To be able to use BICA the model has to be created through BICA. Note: BICA is only applicable for data from BW.
So if you have BW and want to use BICA you will need to rebuild and reload your model.
If not using BICA or you want to load data through automation from non-BW sources then you will need to create a load procedure in PAS. This can either query the target data source directly or load the data from an extract from the appropriate data source. Any source you can make an ODBC connection to can be accessed. This includes Excel - but be cautious with Excel as users have a habit of 'modifying' or 'updating' Excel spreadsheets which is likely to cause problems for your procedure as the source is suddenly different from what was expected!
If you have a model created either in Cube Builder or via BICA you can always enhance the model manually direct in PAS.
